I had been given the chance to try out Coconut Oil for cooking last year. I thought it was alright. I still thought my Olive Oil gave a better flavor, but after using the Coconut Oil more and more, and finding more uses for it. I was intrigued when I was asked to try Fractionated Coconut Oil, that is Coconut Oil that is mainly for cosmetic uses and not to be used for cooking. I decided to try all the different uses for it and to see what I came up with.

Fractionated Coconut Oil it is 100% pure with no fillers and comes in a 16 ounce bottle at a very reasonable price. It is odorless, non-greasy, non-staining and colorless. It does not clog your pores and has natural antioxidants with disinfecting properties. Fractionated Coconut Oil is very versatile and can be used for anything from bug repellent to hair serum. It has a very long shelf life and does not go rancid.

I was very impressed with the amount of coconut oil you get in the bottle. Certainly a great value for your money, I also found it to be a great moisturizer. It is very watery so it is hard to work with. The best I found was to mix some of the Fractionated Coconut Oil with some basic lotion. It was nice mixed in a bath, and also as a hair serum that I would put in my hair and shampoo it out afterwards.

I did not like the coconut oil on my face. I have very dry, sensitive and acne prone skin. Although it did not cause any break outs it made my face dry and red and did not seem to help the acne. It also did not work as well as a hair serum as my favorite Argan oil. However, it is half the price for twice the amount of Argan oil. If you are looking for bargain multipurpose cosmetic oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil is what you are looking for.

To purchase your own bottle of Fractionated Coconut Oil you can find it on Amazon!
