Sponsored Review: BabyVue Video Monitor

As much as I would like to believe I could be the kind of mom that could just let her child be in a room and not worry about him, and just know in my instinct he is okay and safe. I am not that kind of mom. At least, it does not give me peace of mind in my everyday life. To me I need to have peace of mind in knowing that Xavier is safe and sound in his room all the time. Since Xavier has been born we have actually had two monitors in his room, one is a regular sound baby monitor, the other is an old surveillance video camera that we had. In order to see him we had to turn on our television or a big monitor I had on my bedside that had to be plugged in at all time and was only black and white and not night vision. We used the baby sound monitor at night for when we were sleeping. We could hear him cry, and it would alert, and wake us up. The surveillance monitor had to stay on all the time, which is why we did not keep the screen on at night.

My son's "security testing center" Top black is old video, bottom left is BabyVue and bottom right is our audio monitor. Teddy Bear is Vinnie.

When I was asked to try out the new BabyVue Video Monitor I was very excited to be able to try out a video monitor I could actually walk around with and not have to have a giant monitor on my bedside.

The BabyVue Video Monitor is a full color video monitor on a 2.0" LCD display with a talk back feature. It has temperature monitoring, night vision, eight remote control lullabies, a feeding alarm and can be used as a pet monitor. BabyVue has been ranked superior to Motorola, Infant Optics, Vtech, Foscam, Summer Infant, Dropcam and Ibaby. It runs off of 2.4 GHZ and has a long battery life of up to twenty hours in VOX mode. The VOX mode is also selectable, this allows you to keep your screen on or go to stand by when no sound is detected. All BabyVue Video Monitors also come with a 100% money back guarantee and they are sold at an extremely reasonable price considering how great they work.

I have to admit my technology savy husband had a lot of fun testing these out with me so they definitely got a hard testing by the Next Generation Stay At Home Mom family. We love the BabyVue Video Monitors. They are fantastic and are our new favorite video monitor to take everywhere we go.  Our favorite features are that they mainly have an extremely good range with little interference. We were able to go across the street and even further before loosing a moving picture and when it is lost the screen says "connection lost"and makes a noise so you know for sure when you are out of range. I also loved that it had a rechargeable battery. One less battery I have to worry about buying and replacing. Plus, it really did last for around twenty hours like it says it does. Especially if you put it on the selectable VOX mode which is great to have. I especially like this mode at night. It shuts everything down and then only lights up if Xavier makes noise and then we can see right away and hear what he is doing. We can even talk to him if we want to.

You can see my excitement in the size of the BabyVue versus the size of the video monitor we had before.

We only found a couple of downsides to the BabyVue, but nothing that were deal breakers for us, especially given the price in comparison to other brands. First of all the lullabies were terrible and hard to find and use. Then, when we found the lullabies, they were very digital, and not very soothing at all, I think they would be too startling for a child. Also, the audio in general in the BabyVue unit was not that impressive. It was very quiet, and very delayed, compared to the plain audio baby monitors we had in the house the BabyVue Video Monitor came in very delayed and at a much softer tone. We also loved how the BabyVue Video Monitor was so easy to plug in and hook up. It was so light to carry around and the display was so bright and actually easy to see outside I was very impressed.

Next Generation Stay At Home Mom gives BabyVue Video Monitor 5 Stars!
