Building A New Path

March is finally upon us and I cannot be happier. So far our year could not be off to much worse of a start. I admit I had high hopes going in. High hopes of planning to visit family and perhaps just my husband, my son and I (maybe even a babysitter!) going on vacation. High hopes of a year of quietly settling down and getting ready to start building perhaps another nest egg. My husband was doing really well at work and my health has been getting better.

In January a big account for my husband’s job pulled their campaign. Our income took a big hit, a hit that we also thought would not happen for a while. We never know when another big campaign for either of us will strike so we have to take things day by day. It can be a hard way to live.

Then, I got hit with the dreaded stomach bug; I even did an article about the Stomach Bug. At a time we both needed to be working as much as possible my husband was taking care of our toddler and a very sick wife.

We had a good couple weeks in February which was nice for my birthday. Around Valentine’s Day we were hit hard again by the dreaded cold crud. This time the cold crud hit us three fold and bad, my husband, my son and I got it. We have all been incredibly sick that we have barely left the house. Luckily, my husband and I can work at home, so we can pass the tissues and cough drops back and forth between us while working.

Like I said in the beginning of this post, it is March, and a time for a new beginning. Sometimes when we are at our weakest we gain the most strength. I may not be that old, and I do not know how wise I am in your eyes, but I will say I am wise enough to know that life has ups and downs, and it is when we are at our lowest that we end up rising to our highest, you just have to have the strength to hang in there, and keep on building that path for yourself.

Happy March Monday Everyone! I hope you all have a great week!
