Review & Giveaway: Arbonne

I wrote this post while participating in a campaign by Arbonne Representative Jenney and will receive a free sample of the products to review and to thank me for my time. All views and opinions with regard to the products or company itself are my own and were not influenced, nor reviewed, by the company prior to posting.

This spring we have been trying out different types of beauty products and deciding as a family what moisturizers, cleansers, and especially sunscreens work best for our skin types and needs. We usually buy a different brand of everything all the time. A good friend of mine works for the Arbonne Company and asked if I would be interested in trying some samples and reviewing them. I jumped at the opportunity as I have heard of Arbonne before, but it had been a while since I had been to a party.

Arbonne is run as a sort of "tupper ware company", as it is referred to by many people. Which means representatives buy (at a discount) merchandise and sell it from their home by having parties and being the entertainment at the parties. You have no doubt been invited to one of these in your lives they are the Pampered Chef, Princess House, Mary Kay, and Arbonne's. Some people say these places are expensive and not worth anything and should not even waste your time, but I always wonder what the hatred is all about? First of all I have yet to go to one of these parties where there was not something I thought was nice and wanted to buy. Secondly, these companies are run by women. They give jobs and extra spending money to moms who work, or are stay at home moms. You are buying stuff and actually helping that person's family that you are buying from. You cannot get much more personal service than that. So because these businesses can be so personal that it could be a good friend who sells you your skincare regimen they have to exceptional businesses. You must be an exceptional business because you are asking friends to depend on their friends and I know from testing and research that Arbonne is one of those exceptional businesses.

Arbonne's slogan is "Pure, Safe, Beneficial", they say that their "products are healthy, botanically based and inspired by nature". I love natural skincare products. I have found throughout lots of tests that the best skincare products are always the most natural mixtures. All Arbonne products are botanically based, vegan certified, never tested on animals, formulated without animal products or animal by-products, formulated without mineral oil, formulated without dyes, formulated without gluten, fully clinically and dermatologist tested and use no parabens, formaldehyde-donating preservatives, benzene, petrolatum, phthalaes, Toluene and they are PABA free. That's right there is nothing in them but the basic ingredients. So they are perfect if you have extremely sensitive skin. They offer many things including skincare line ups for women, men and babies.

We were able to test a bunch of each of the lines and were very happy with them. My husband even liked the after shave balm. However, after trying the FC5 Line, CALM line, ABC Baby Care Line, Re9 Advanced for Men line and makeup primer these were our top three favorites. However, all of the Arbonne products we were pleased with and I highly recommend them if you have very sensitive skin or a highly allergenic family.

1) FC5 Line, Nurturing Day Lotion Brand Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen
I loved this very lightweight and citrus smelling moisturizer. A little went a very long way and my skin was pleasantly vibrant and soft. The "FC" stands for Fresh Cells because it contains five fresh cells from Kiwi, Strawberry, Mango, Carrot and pumpkin. The combination of ingredients gives your skin a nice radiance and youthful appearance to it. I was able to go without makeup wearing this and my skin not only looked great and felt soft but you could barely tell I put anything on. I loved this lotion!
This lotion is $40.00 for a 1.7 fl. oz container which I think is a reasonable price considering you only need a dime size amount to use everyday.

2) ABC Herbal Diaper Rash Cream
- This Zinc oxide-based cream helps prevent, relieve, and temporarily protect against chapped or cracked skin. It is a light weight formula and is a water-repelling cream that is rich in antioxidants. I loved this diaper rash cream. It is one of the few I have found that are lightweight. Also, I noticed how it was water repellent which was great because it lasted through a few diaper changes before I would have to reapply it. Also, it got rid of Xavier's diaper rash in one application. It also had no strong smell or sticky residue. This is definitely one of the best diaper creams I have ever used. You can get your own for $16.00 for a 4.7 oz container!

3) Baby Care Sunscreen
- One of my big favorites was the Baby Care Sunscreen. It is PABA free and formulated with antioxidants and vitamins A,C and E and gentle botanicals. Like all of the Arbonne products that we were able to try out this Sunscreen was also very lightweight which is extremely hard to find in a sunscreen. It did not have a strong scent and was easy to glide on Xavier just like a regular lotion would. It did not irritate his sensitive skin at all which a lot of sunscreens do so both of us were really happy with it! You can order a 6 fl. oz bottle for $26.00.

I was definitely impressed with all of Arbonne's products and how much they stand by their products. Their formulas of real all natural ingredients stand out above many others.  So this mom is giving Arbonne 4 Stars from Next Generation Stay At Home Mom.

It is time that we as parents pay more attention to not only what our children consume, but what their skin consumes as well and if you want the real thing you should take a look at Arbonne.
