We went and made the Poplar Grove Halloween Festival a tradition. We went last year and strolled around with Xavier as a tiny seven month old. This weekend we took our almost nineteen month old.

He mainly enjoyed the petting zoo. They had a lot of neat animals, like goats, a tortoise, llama, cow and even camels. He is still very little for much of the fair but he still enjoyed himself with the food and petting zoo fun.
If you have children you definitely should head over to the Poplar Grove Halloween Festival 2013 it is great for older children as they have a Haunted Manor House, Haunted Wagon Ride, Goblins and Games Fun House, inflatables, gemstone mining, train rides, petting zoo, camel rides, fortune teller, food and free parking! The event is free you pay only for what you intend to do. Which is nice for people like us with little ones we are able to get out and let him see the sights without having to pay anything at all.
Start your Halloween season off correctly by visiting the Poplar Grove Halloween Festival!
The festival is running the weekends of October 11-13th and 18-20th.
