Almond French Toast

     This is not so much a recipe as an alternative to a usual recipe. My husband actually did this by accident while making french toast for breakfast one morning. I had just rearranged the spice cabinet and he had a hard time finding what he needed. Instead of grabbing vanilla extract he grabbed almond extract. We decided to use the batter anyway just to see how it would taste.
   It ended up tasting amazing and is now a new favorite way to make french toast. Try it out and see if it becomes a new favorite french toast recipe for you and your family.

Almond French Toast
 - makes eight slices

- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 8 slices of bread

 Beat eggs, milk, almond extract and cinnamon with wire whisk or hand beater until smooth.
Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat or to 375 degrees. Grease griddle with butter if necessary.
Dip bread into egg mixture. Place on griddle. Cook about 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
