This past weekend we went to the Charles Dickens Christmas Festival in Southport. This is the first year that they put this festival on and it was a big success. There were a lot of people out and about visiting the festival.
Xavier had a lot of fun. It was nice to get out and walk around Southport and look at the Christmas lights and people in costumes. We had fun looking at and voting in the ginerbread house contest, wreath contest, and Christmas tree contest.
One of the main reasons I wanted to go was they had a free Santa to take pictures with. Unfortunately, Xavier likes a lot of people but he did not like Santa very much and this is the only picture we got with him not crying. Good thing I did not pay for a Santa picture this year. He did love the puppet show though, he made sure he whooped and talked loudly to let them know how much he was enjoying it. He is very vocal right now so we could not do all the activities as some were peaceful Christmas carols in churches. I'm sure people would not appreciate a baby wanting to sing as well. However, we did get to go to "Mr. Fezziwigs Christmas Ball" and he loved that it was very kid friendly and everyone was dancing, clapping and singing, something Xavier loved to do! All in all it was a fun event to go to and we were really glad that Xavier enjoyed it as much as we did.
